Vitamin B12 injections for weight management can be helpful in underweight individuals for three major reasons.

  1. Nutritional support. People who need to gain weight are usually malnourished. Vitamin B12 injections for weight gain may be necessary to make sure they get adequate amounts of this essential vitamin. Malnourished, underweight people may be unable to absorb enough vitamin B12 through their gastrointestinal tracts, which is why vitamin B12 injections for weight gain may be necessary.

  2. Metabolic support. Vitamin B12 injections for weight management help convert carbohydrates to glucose, which is the only form of carbohydrate that our cells can use. Vitamin B12 injections for weight management also help you metabolize proteins and fats. Vitamin B12 injections for weight gain may improve your ability to use the food you eat more efficiently so that you can gain weight.

  3. Vitamin B12 deficiency. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause you to lose weight. When you have a vitamin B12 deficiency, you usually have no appetite and find it difficult to eat. You may have a sore mouth and tongue, too, which make it even more difficult to eat. Vitamin B12 injections for weight gain may correct any underlying vitamin B12 deficiency that may be contributing to underweight.

  4. Adenosine 5 - Triphospate (ATP) is a multifunctional chemical that is naturally produced within all living cells. ATP transports energy within cells for metabolism, therefore used in this context, ATP can safely enhance metabolism and burn stored fat in the body. The ATP in the Meta-B injection is synthetically produced and is a close derivative of your body's own product. Meta-B is administered as an intramuscular injection by a Registered Nurse or MD.
